Continuation

Hi there I’m ‘Karthik Dadi once again
Lets rewind back the last thing discussed in my last article was “Is earth the only planet that supports life?”

Still we can’t conclude it so the answer is may be yes/no

But my answer would be no, life evolution may take place in various different worlds in different ways. In search of life supporting planets NASA had done some missions from that missions Kepler
Mission gave some info about the newly confirmed planet Kepler-22b

On December 5th, 2011, the Kepler Science team announced that they had confirmed a planet. The planet is 2.4 times the radius of Earth, in orbit around a star very similar to the sun. Here the biggest thing is the distance of this planet from its star is perfect. The parent star is same like our sun, classified as a sun-like  G-type (These type of star’s designated as a Yellow Dwarf because its visible radiation is most intense in the yellow-green portion of the spectrum, although it is actually white in color)

The Kepler space telescope first noticed this star as having a planet that is possibly like earth. A mere three days after being declared, Kepler took notice that something was interesting in orbit around this small, dim, G-type star located 600 light years away from our planet. Kepler 22-b, the first Earth-sized planet found by Kepler in a habitable zone (life supporting region) orbiting around another star. Scientists don’t yet know if Kepler-22b has a predominantly rocky, gaseous or liquid composition, but discovery is a step closer to finding Earth-like planets.Of the 54 habitable zone planet candidates reported in February 2011, Kepler-22b is the first to be confirmed. This milestone will be published in The Astrophysical Journal.

scientists and astrophysicists are still in search of planets which support life. Let's hope for the best.

But just assume that there is a planet having life on it and they also trying to find the planet with life other than theirs what u people say?

So stay tuned my next article will be more interesting don't miss it!!

LIFE BEYOND EARTH:

Hi there I’m ‘Karthik Dadi this is my article about the extraterrestial life.

Is earth the only planet with life??

May be “No” or “yes”? This will be the answer of the person whom you ask. Even the scientists had the same doubt  whether life beyond earth is there or not.
The search for aliens is the man’s one of the greatest challenge ever. Even our scientists and astrophysicists are trying in different ways to find the truth behind this. The main aim is to find are we alone? if no, are they some species living?, if yes how will they look. Not only these, there are many doubts about the life, universe, galaxies. Etc.

After a seven years journey “Cassini Huygens Probe Mission”. Actually this is travel to Saturn’s moon titan. The surface of titan is covered by thick orange layer which covers the whole moon. Actually its size is bigger than the planet mercury. The probe entered the layers and saw mountain like structures which same looks like that of earth. And the probe landed on surface and the surface looks like dessert and having smooth rocks (better to call pebbles which we can find near river beds) and the main thing that probe noted is that at some places the surface is wet. Then the Cassini’s radar sweeps the surface it found the there are hundreds of lakes. But the temperature in titan is -290F. So the water should get freeze and all the lakes should be frozen and should look like Antarctica. Then what is this liquid??

Cassini’s radar took the readings of the liquid are not consistent with water. The liquid is liquid methane and ethane which are volatile and flammable gases on earth. The mountains are of frozen ice. Probe details about the thundering and raining. Actually the thunders are same like as on earth the rain is actually of methane and ethane and the drops falls slowly due less gravity and the size of drops is much bigger than water droplets we see when it rains. According to scientists Chris McKay there may be some micro organisms which live in those lakes of methane and ethane. But there is no evidence that any micro organisms live in those lakes.

If life could have evolved on world as drastically different as earth and titan  then perhaps life could evolve in many other ways on many different world after all we are just a some species living on planet
The three components needed for the life are found on earth they are
i) Carbon dioxide and others like nitrogen and oxygen
ii) Water
iii) And the last thing is sun

These three are important for the existence of life. Now the doubt is that Is earth the only planet with all these three components available?

Stay tuned i'll write the next part soon!!
